Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing At A Time’ Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard 200 With Over 500,000 Units Sold

The numbers are in and Morgan Wallen’s just-released third studio album, One Thing At A Time, debuted at No.1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart with a whopping 501,000 U.S. equal album items, in accordance with Luminate. 

This is the most important week for any album thus far in 2023 and the largest debut since the launch of Taylor Swift’s Midnights, which opened with 1.578 million equal album units within the fall of 2022. 

Additionally, Wallen’s 36-track One Thing At A Time noticed the biggest opening week for a country album since Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version) debuted with 604,500 for the week ending Nov. 18, 2021.

According to a report by Billboard, 76% of One Thing At A Time’s debut week consumption came from streaming. The challenge earned the largest streaming week ever for a country album with 498.28 million on-demand streams. It’s additionally the fifth-largest streaming week ever for any album from any style. 

One Thing At A Time showcases Wallen’s wide range of musical influences and combine his love for country, rock, and hip-hop.

“This document represents the earlier few years of my life, the highs and the lows,” Wallen previously shared in a statement. “It also brings together the musical influences that have formed me as an artist – country, various and hip-hop.”

He Also Earned His First-Ever No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100 Chart

The news of Wallen’s blockbuster week on the charts comes on the heels of his eighth No.1 single and as his fan-favorite track, “Last Night,” claimed the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs chart (for the fifth week). This is Wallen’s first No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Billboard reviews that it’s solely the 20th music to ever prime both charts and the primary since Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version) claimed the No.1 spot on both charts in Nov. of 2021. 

Additionally, Wallen is the first solo male (unaccompanied by different artists) to claim the No.1 spot on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot Country Songs chart since 1981 when Eddie Rabbitt’s “I Love a Rainy Night” topped each charts. 

Wallen Is Currently Embarking On His Massive One Night At A Time World Tour

After celebrating the release of One Thing At A Time with a record-breaking free live performance for followers in Nashville, Tenn., Morgan Wallen is currently in New Zealand for the launch of the international leg of his extremely anticipated One Night At A Time World Tour.

The celebrity is about to play reveals all through New Zealand and Australia through March 25. 

On April 14, Wallen will launch the us leg of the trek with back-to-back reveals at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

In total, the 63-show trek will go to 30 stadiums, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals to followers across four nations and two continents. The trek will feature assist from ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman on all dates. HARDY and Parker McCollum will also seem on choose dates.
